Global Outreach Spotlight

MINISTRY HERE Foundation

This Foundation exists to assist missions and humanitarian organizations to overcome barriers to the gospel. These barriers are mostly geographical, but can also be influenced by security or politics. Through Good Shepherd’s Relief Weekend offering we were able to raise $20,000 to help support MAF and their projects.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40)

During our Sanctity of Human Life weekend we were able to support projects around our community and the world that protect the life that God so graciously gives.

We highlighted the beautiful story of a family that has been directly impacted by the work God is doing in our community.

The Great family center pay off

Good Shepherd is committed to investing in the spiritual development of our younger generations. The Family Center was created to provide a safe and welcoming space for children to learn about the Bible and build relationships. In 2015 the construction of the new family center was completed, and from the generous giving of the church body, Good Shepherd was able to pay off the seven year loan of $3.7 million a year and a half early.

This video follows the testimonial of the Winsor family and sheds light on the impact the Family Center has had on young families and their kids.

2020-2021 highlights

The generosity from God’s people at Good Shepherd Community Church has been extraordinary over the past year during uncertain times. We are praising God and filled with gratitude.

  • We were able to pay off our 7-year building loan a year and a half early, leaving the church debt free.
  • The church ended the fiscal year in line with our revenue target. (Our General Fund offerings were $4.5M compared to a budget of $4.3M.)
  • Because of the pandemic, we did see a shift from gathering in-person to gathering online resulting in some expenses coming in under budget. (Ministry expenses were $3.6M compared to a budget of $4.3M.)
  • Our balance sheet remained strong with cash of $3.2M, total assets of $17.3M, total net assets of $14.9M, and no long-term debt.
